"See Me" A Film About Redro Redriguez
Born In Brisbane, QLD, in 1972
Musician David “Redro Redriguez” Whip grew up in Brighton, Victoria.
As a teenager in the late 1980’s David would frequent Melbourne’s Prahran skatepark where he would be introduced to the rock n’ roll life by local
Skateboarder Chris Paine of Mantissa (Killing Time) who would take “Red” on tour as the bands roadie, touring with the likes of Janes Addiction and Noiseworks.
In the early to mid 90’s Red would study a sound engineer and I.T course, Where he would later find himself as a assistant sound engineer at Joe Camilleri (The Black Sorrows)

In 2009 he became the sound engineer at Melbourne’s legendary rock n’ roll bar, Cherry Bar, engineering more than 5000 of the best Melbourne and International bands.
He would make the move down to the seaside shire of The Mornington Peninsula setting up his own recording studio “Moonah Arts Collective” Moonah Arts Collective would play a significant roll in the music and arts scene on the Peninsula.
In 2021 by chance meet, Red would connect with local videographer Nathan Woods, Where the two would work together documenting and recording artists
In the Moonah Arts Collective studio.
In March of that year Red was diagnosed with Cancer.
In October 2023, Filmmaker and friend, Nathan Woods sat down withRed at his home studio to tell his life story, 6 months before his untimely passing.
With a soundtrack from the likes of Redro Redriguez & His Inner Demons, Rennie & The Shitchair, My Lil Tornado, Zombeaches and James Hooker.

Growing up on the Mornington Peninsula, Nathan Woods got into making films through skateboarding, known for working closely with artist and individuals helping them document their journeys and tell their stories, Nathan is a self taught filmmaker and Videographer. Releasing his First Documentary "See Me" a 30 minute Documentary Tribute to his late friend and mentor, Redro Redriguez, made within a month of his passing, a Documentary that was never meant to be.
