Originally from Argentina, Tamara Nemirovsky is an international award-winning filmmaker, animator, and educator. Her award-winning stop-motion films were screened at several film festivals internationally. She was granted a scholarship by the Fulbright Commission to pursue an MFA in the United States. Currently, she is a faculty member at the University of South Florida at The Honors College.
In January 2023, she finished producing, directing, filming, and editing “Second Changes”, a documentary that focuses on the stories of four people struggling with addiction, homelessness, and incarceration, who were all thrown into further turmoil when Covid-19 hit.
I was born in Argentina, and my family roots are Native South American (South American Indigenous), Hispanic, and Jewish Ashkenazi, which shaped my art and teaching practice as motivated by social justice and inclusion.
