Kelly Gossmann, born in Johannesburg with an Honours Degree in Dramatic Arts from the University of Witwatersrand. Kelly jumped headfirst into the film industry as a lead actress in Toya Delazy's music video "Memoriam" in 2013 & scored her first lead role in a TVC in 2014 for 1Life Direct.
After performing in a few shorts here & there, Kelly decided to move to Cape Town to further her production skills. She worked for film companies such as Moonlighting, Blue Ice Africa, West5Films & Netflix. "The Mazerunner 3, Last Days of American Crime & The Kissing Booth 2" are a few features to name. In between coordinating, Kelly landed a support acting role in an SA Feature Film called "Bhai's Cafe" directed by Maynard Kraak.
In her spare time, Kelly enjoys pushing her producing skills. She recently co-produced and featured in a fashion film called "Connect" which won an award for Best Cinematography at the London Fashion Film Festival 2019. Sebenzi Girls is Kelly's first attempt at directing a film.
I took on the challenge to direct a new aged reality drama with two wonderful women who truly have a great zest for life. I've always told them that they live such fascinating lives and that the world should be their audience. When the opportunity came to create this vision as young female filmmakers & artists, we could absolutely not resist!
