Born in Roskilde, Denmark in 1984 and spent the first two years of my life there, until I moved with my family to Iceland when I was two years. I am half Danish and half Icelandic, my mother is Icelandic and my father is Danish.
My childhood was mostly filled with sports and outdoor activities and it wasn’t until I was a teenager when I started becoming interested in arts. At first as I singer and songwriter, played in bands and released music both in Iceland and abroad. I also started doing photography which progressed to filmmaking. Originally I wanted to become a documentary filmmaker, however it was my love of fictional scriptwriting that won me over and at the age of 37 I finally decided to apply for film school.
I spent one year between 2021-2022 at Stockholms Filmskola where I studied general filmmaking and I ended having my script chosen for the final film of the year, a film called “Grow”. That was my first ever short film.
After that year, I moved back to Iceland where I worked on local and foreign productions in multiple roles, including working in the camera department of HBO´s “True Detective”.
Later that year I started working as a creative director for a large sports association in Reykjavik, where I worked as and editor and a producer. In the fall of 2023 I decided to move back to Stockholm and study for another year at Stockholms Filmskola, this time in the Directing class, where I focused on directing, producing and script writing. I made three short films in that time, including the film “Kröningen”.
I recently moved back to Iceland where I live with my wife and 4 year old daughter, and currently I divide my time between being a creative director for a sports association and producing and financing my short films.
