The Seattle Worldcon 2025 Film Festival is a celebration of science fiction, fantasy, horror, and other speculative fiction films from around the world. The festival will take place August 13–17, 2025.

The Seattle Worldcon 2025 Film Festival is being held as part of Seattle Worldcon 2025, which is the 83rd Worldcon. Worldcon is the annual convention of the World Science Fiction Society, first held in 1939. Each year it is held in a different city. In 2024 it was held in Glasgow, Scotland, and in 2023 was held in Chengdu, China.

You must be a member of the Seattle Worldcon to attend the festival. The Seattle Worldcon will be held at the Seattle Convention Center Summit Building, which is located in downtown Seattle.

The Seattle Worldcon 2025 Film Festival wants to embrace and foster new voices in speculative fiction, including those of BIPOC, women, and LGBTQ+ creators. We will have judges who represent these voices. We also have a way for BIPOC and women directors to submit their films to the festival at no charge.

The festival director has run seven previous film festivals in the Seattle area.

Attending filmmakers will be able to speak to the audience directly through Q&As following their film screenings.
