Seattle Asian American Film Festival (SAAFF) is the only film festival in Seattle to provide a space for Asian American voices, perspectives and histories by screening independent films that reflect the diversity and richness of the city’s Asian American community.

SAAFF features works by or about North Americans of Asian descent, with an emphasis on filmmakers from the Pacific Northwest. We accept films of any length and genre that were completed in 2018 or later. The non-refundable fee for regular deadline entry is $20.00 (late deadline is $30.00) and films must be submitted for review digitally on Vimeo.com or FilmFreeway's platform.

Currently held at Broadway Performance Hall and Northwest Film Forum in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, our 7th annual festival is scheduled for February 20-23, 2020!

Truly a great festival. Communication was timely and accurate, organizers were friendly, crowds were engaged and the theaters are lovely with great projection and sound. Top notch! I especially love how they tie screenings to local non-profits. We were very proud to have screened Finding the Virgo at SAAFF. Bravo!

Enjoyed the festival, the excellent programming and timing of events, especially the ample time between notification & event date to set up arrangements to attend. The Q & A after each screening was definitely a plus. Will definitely be submitting my next film!!!
