Seafoam
Billy tumbles down the rabbit hole after visiting her mother at a psychiatric health ward and recognizing an orderly who works there. Suddenly, he is everywhere. Billy can’t escape. The fish, the cowboy, her mother... What's real? Seafoam takes you on a journey inside Billy’s unsettling experience. Is Billy ill, like her mother, or is she prey?
From award winning Australian director/actor Izzy Stevens, comes the experimental psychological thriller film Seafoam. Created by a cast and crew from over seven different nationalities, many of whom identify as female or LGBTQ+, Seafoam broaches the pervasive effects of gender roles on mental health, and the powerful trappings of our mind.

I'm fascinated by how film can elicit empathy in audiences, more than any other medium. I love to lock into a characters perspective and see through their eyes. To take the audience on a journey, but leave them with questions. It's so fascinating when people leave the theatre with different ideas of what they just watched. I'm also feverishly obsessed with sound design. Send help ;)
