TakT is the name of the collaboration between science artists: Adele Tilouine (Paris, France) and Tyler Kaufman (Los Angeles. USA/Paris, France). Together, they create philosophical art experiences, shows and installations, using multi-disciplinary art forms as their means of communication. Their science-art work was awarded with several art prizes (ADAGP Prize in Digital Art (Paris, 2021), Emerging Scene Art Prize (Dubaï, EAU, 2021), Finalists of the Arte Laguna Prize (Venice, Italy, 2022)
TakT collaborates with different scientists from around the world to create their immersive and genre bending art form.
With scientific partnerships and new technologies including AI, TakT is able to create interactive installations, live shows and immersive art. Their science art aims to alter how the brain of their audience perceive their own reality.
TakT performs live science art shows all over the world where they mix scientific imagery with original compositions and science talks. Their performances have a host of different settings and surroundings including opening ceremonies such as the FENS neuroscience conference (12000 people), art competitions such as Arte Laguna Prize at the Venice Arsenal and music festivals across the globe alike.
Scientific Emotions is conceived as a psychological and scientific art experience that is meant to invite its audience into an exploration of human emotions. Scientific Emotions brings forth a combination of scientifically created elements and the study and implementation of scientific theory on brainwave frequencies through the vehicle of an artistic audiovisual medium.
For the live show of “Scientific Emotions”, the 2 artists of TakT perform an interactive audiovisual performance with live music and video projections.
Tyler Kaufman performs live electric sitar manipulated through the computer, electric guitar (with live beat making through mallets and corkscrews) and live looping while Adèle Tilouine offers a V-jing live performance, reinterpreting together their science-art project Scientific Emotions. The visuals used by Adèle Tilouine are real scientific imagery that TakT collected from research labs and scientists.
