The "Schulterblick" Film Festival was launched by the Media Competence Center Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf in 2020 and is aimed at children and young people as well as school classes. This year, the district councilor for youth and health, Mr. Detlef Wagner, will take over the patronage for the first time.
The topic of this year's film festival is “FAKE”.
Film submissions and applications for the children's jury are possible until November 1st, 2022.
Films can be submitted by: Children and young people from the age of 6 up to 21 as well as school classes: from Berlin, Germany and the whole European Union.
The award ceremony will take place on November 26, 2022 at 4pm in the Haus der Jugend Charlottenburg and will be streamed live on YouTube at the same time. The number of festival guests on site results from the current Covid regulations and will be announced.

2nd Place: 500€
3rd Place: 250€
We decided to give out vouchers, so the laureates can invest in better film equipment.
The competition is open for all national and international newcomers.
The film must have been produced within the last two years.
The filmmaker(s) affirm that they were over the age of 6 and under the age of 21 when the film was made.
The filmmaker assures that the submitted film corresponds to the current topic of the festival.
The film must be submitted with German audio or at least with German subtitles.
The running time must not exceed 30 minutes (including closing credits) and deceed 3 minutes (excluding closing credits).
The filmmaker agrees that the submitted copy of the film will be kept in an archive.
The sender guarantees, that the footage used in the film is their property or that they have permission to use it, for example GEMA or other collecting societies). Furthermore films that contain racist, pornographic, violent or any other unconstitutional material will not be accepted. The sender is liable for any form of violation.
The filmmaker agrees that if his or her film is nominated, it is shown at the Filmfestival.
The filmmaker agrees with the publication of excerpts from their film in any available form in all kinds of media.
The filmmaker agrees that in case his or her film wins, it is shown on partner events and on TV.
The filmmaker agrees that excerpts of his or her film are shown as part of the official Filmfestival Trailer.
The filmmaker assures that in case of a nomination, a video is provided in which he or her present their film in case they cannot attend the award ceremony.
The filmmaker assures that the submitted film does not contain any discriminatory content or unconstitutional symbols as well as drug or alcohol use, as this is a youth film festival!
There is no right of appeal.
