Director Biography - Stephanie Campbell

Stephanie Campbell grew up in the biodiverse state of Queensland, Australia. In 2017 she was accepted into the University of the West of England's prestigious MA in Wildlife Filmmaking programme, developed and delivered in partnership with the BBC's Natural History Unit in Bristol, UK. Stephanie was named the University's Millennium Scholar for 2017/18 and is passionate about telling natural history stories with a focus on conservation and animal-human relationships. Stephanie holds postgraduate degrees in journalism, environmental & sustainability science, and public health, and is a qualified nature guide of reserves in Southern Africa.

In a world where species are going extinct at an alarming rate, my debut film aims to melt hearts, debunk myths and change minds about one of the most misunderstood, hated and persecuted mammals on the planet.
