Mostafa Gandomkar, born in 1986 in Iran, is a Producer and Director known for his works such as "Alan" (2017, 20 min), "Coat" (2012, 12 min), and "Be Soo-Ye Khoshbakhti" (2009, 15 min). He holds a Master's degree in Cinema from Tehran University of Art. Currently, he teaches cinema at universities and the Iranian Youth Cinema Society. Gandomkar's cinematic journey began with photography during his graphic design studies and later expanded into documentary filmmaking. His film "Alan" was the sole Iranian entry in the 39th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, blending documentary and drama to depict a day in the life of a Kurdish family on the verge of separation. "Alan" has received recognition and accolades at over twenty prestigious short film festivals.
