I am a LGBT identified Combat Infantry Veteran with 16 months of service in Iraq, now working as a counselor charged with reducing violence in a psychiatric emergency room through crisis intervention and therapy.
I have trained in a variety of martial arts, seen death and combat up close, nearly been killed, been in hundreds of violent situations, and use writing as an outlet.
I began writing films for Spanish Class in High School, and through college, and I am now married, living with PTSD, and continue to write screenplays, for myself, primarily.
I wrote this screenplay to deal with my personal demons after returning home from war. I drew influence from the men I served with and the people I met in Waterbury, Connecticut.
