Sargeant X Comrade - Beautiful
Another art video from the Lo fi soul group Sargeant X Comrade. Beautiful is an attempt at conveying the feeling of falling in love through a visual narrative. Taking the "falling" part literal the video blurs the line between reality and fantasy. Reminiscent of a painting done in a contemporary fashion using video techniques instead of the traditional oils and canvas, Beautiful by Sargeant X Comrade combines art, music and poetry into one.

Evgeniy wears many hats and is involved in a lot of different musical and creative ventures. After graduating from Alberta College of Art and Design with a degree in Media Arts and Digital Technologies in 2013, Evgeniy has been involved in operating a successful DJ business, producing, recording, engineering and performing with a Breakout West nominated band Sargeant X Comrade, directing music videos (one of which was picked for the 2020 Toronto Shorts Film Festival) as well as many other music/arts related projects. His latest venture involves starting an independent record label (being launched August/September 2021) to put out soul, funk, hip hop and reggae/dub music.
The video for Beautiful was an artistic attempt at capturing the feeling of falling in love through a visual medium.
