Sara is a longtime actress but first time filmmaker (writer/producer). A graduate of the NYU Tisch School of the Arts, she has trained and performed in theater all over the globe. Her training includes the Stella Adler Studio in NYC, The Samuel Beckett Center in Dublin, Ireland, the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, UK and the Actor's Gang in Los Angeles. As a member of the Santa Monica Rep theater company in Los Angeles, Sara has performed in countless productions and staged readings. She performed Off-Broadway at the famous Jean Cocteau Repertory Theatre in several classical plays. This is her first film - inspired largely by the love and losses that have peppered her first year of marriage. While writing the film, Sara became pregnant and thereby, so did her character! Hurricane Forecast was shot when Sara was seven months pregnant! She is grateful for the opportunity to tell a story about women's relationships, identities and the journey to adulthood when losing a parent and/or becoming a parent.
