Director Statement

This submission - Birth of Beauty - was adapted from the Santa Barbara Historical Homes tour video shot in 2020. During the making of that tour video, we studied the history of the homes and discovered a little known story of the women in the 1920s, who played an important part in how Santa Barbara came to be the beautifully designed city we see today. This current submission was done using that original video and integrating the story of the women.
