Sarah Adilah was born in Palu on 21st of July, 1998. Since young, she has loved reading, writing, painting, and photographing before she explore filmmaking autodidactically. She eventually found out that film is a medium to explore her knowledge and interests. Her first short fiction film at Senior High School titled "Cermin" (2015) had screened and received national awards. She decided to enter film school at Multimedia Nusantara University by schoolarship to learn more about films.
She actives directing short films on campus and non-campus. At 2018, her latest short fiction film titled "Gula dan Pasir" selected for Short Corner at Festival De Cannes. And her short documentary film titled "Neraka di Telapak Kaki" is nominated by Indonesian Film Festival as best short documenter category. 2019 is her third year at film school and "Boncengan" will be produced soon as her thesis fiction film. Also she produced a documentary about mitigation disaster in Palu titled "Living On The Top of Fault" and will be finished in year 2020.
Simple issues of any kind within the socio-economy context that occur in a small area are actually relevant to the problems faced by everyone in the world of children and adults.
Dissatisfaction, insecurity, and injustice concern the question of necessity, money, and its all rotations that seem to be uninterrupted from power.
