Sandeep Karanjkar is a filmmaker and theatre artist with a vibrant storytelling legacy. Raised in India, he acted, wrote, and directed plays in Marathi, Hindi, and English, later performing in New York, Boston, Chicago and many cities in the US. At New Jersey’s renowned multi-lingual short play festival, Natya Darpan, he directed three acclaimed short plays, mastering concise narratives under the guidance of Ashok Vanjari. In 1998, he earned Best Actor at Bangalore’s Rang Dakshin Theatre Festival. As assistant director under acclaimed director Meena Nerurkar on a New Jersey webseries (Family Jam), Sandeep embraced cinematic techniques. His lifelong passion for film led to his debut 20-minute family short, which he wrote, produced, and directed, weaving theatrical intensity with visual depth to explore real connection while navigating the digital age’s challenges with heart and authenticity
