Director Biography - TRISTAN THOMAS

As a pluridisciplinary artist, Tristan Thomas has always juggled the hats of musician and film maker.
Upon graduating from l’Ecole Supérieure d’Etudes Cinématographiques in Paris, he founds Ovhal44 with Lucas Ortiz, mixing techno, theatre and science fiction. On the side, he composes for documentaries, short films and commercial media, and experiments with house and hip-hop through his solo project, Zaspéro.

After a long and inspiring voyage across Asia, Tristan returns with the firm conviction to write and direct his first short film.

The adventure « Samurai from Outerspace » begins. Supported by his closest friends and family, he throws himself into the production of this genre-bending film, boasting a unique aesthetic patchwork of B-movies, Science Fiction, Hinduism and the way of the Samurai.
