Sam Downie is a Disabled Autistic film director and Actor who is known for a number of short films that he has directed over the years, a few of which have been long-listed for BAFTA's.
He is also a Content Creator among other things, such as a Dolby Atmos mix engineer and designer, Voice-over, Voice-Actor, a self-shooter Cinematographer, editor on Final Cut Pro, Presenter and Podcaster, a Storyteller and a Disability Rights Advocate and Ambassador.
His previous short films include "Unique Human", and "The Mystery" for the Different Voices Film project with Biggerhouse Film / 104 Films.
His current film projects include "Dawn of the DarkFox" which is ongoing, and Meet the Meta Humans (to be released in Summer, 2022).
He has been working with disability film production companies to develop film projects, such as the Different Voices Neurodiversity Film project from Biggerhouse Film and 104 Films the leaders in Disability Films for Cinema and TV.
His films have been screened at Sheffield Doc/Fest, the Watershed, the Arnolfini cinema, as well as at events such as Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland Resort in the USA, for which he is an Ambassador for.
Sam has achieved what many filmmakers aspire to do, which is, to develop, shoot, edit and screen award-winning films, using a combination of skills, talent and techniques.
