Both comedy and drama, Sauvez-moi (English title: Salvation) explores loneliness and hope through a humorous lens of one man's contemplation of suicide, and his subsequent choice. What motivated me to make this film is the desire to make people look at rejection and loneliness, and be able to laugh at the absurdity of what we put ourselves through. Suicide is not funny. But everyone has moments of suffering, where they look for an answer, where they wait to be transformed, to be saved. Of course, true salvation can't come from anyone or anywhere else. But this absolute yearning to be loved, to be connected to something greater, is a very human impulse. Often it has been explored through religion and spirituality, but what about the other side of things? What about connecting to a greater community through the the body? No, I don't mean sex, watch the film and find out what I mean! :)
Mostly, my motivation was to make people laugh and to entertain. Hope you enjoy the film!
