Director Statement

A mockumentary about a stubborn environmental activist's attempt to break into the fashion industry. The title of the film refers to Salon des Refusés - an art exhibition held in 1863 in Paris by command of Napoleon III for the many artists whose works had been refused by the conservative jury of the official and at that time most important art event - the Paris Salon. Among the exhibitors at Salon des Refusés were Cézanne, Pissarro, Whistler and Manet.
