Saghsara. Episode 5
"Saghsara" is a musical documentary project about traditional folk music in Armenia.
It follows young musicians from Armenia who gather folk songs from the villages. After finding the song, they return to the city to work on the song. They add an arrangement but keep the voice of the villager who sang the song. The result is a musical mix of old and new generations.

Armen Papyan is a musician and filmmaker from Armenia.
He was born in March 8, 1991 in the city of Vanadzor, Armenia. In teenage years he started his musical career and formed a rock band where he was playing a guitar.
He has a BA degree in Electrical Engineering.
While studying in the university he became interested in film-making, and started to film few local projects as a cameraman.
In 2015 he moved to the capital city, Yerevan. He worked in local documentary film studios. In 2019 he created a musical documentary project "Saghsara" with his friends.
"Saghsara" has already released five episodes, the sixth one is currently in post production stage.
