Brad Davis was born in San Diego and raised in Chapin, South Carolina, in a multi-national household. He attended the University of Utah, where he achieved a BA in Film and Theater before completing an MFA in Screenwriting from Chapman University Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. At Chapman, he wrote two shorts, several pilots, and a feature. His feature script Trompe L'oeil and pilot Hide/Survive have both placed in recent writing competitions (Launch Pad Feature Competition and Scriptapalooza Television Writing Competition, respectively). He strives to create queer stories that highlight the universality of the human condition. He resides in Los Angeles and spends his time writing, directing, and producing. Sometimes, he even leaves his apartment for essentials.
This series has our heroes traverse the five stages of grief through the pandemic's lens and how it affects Alan and Chet's relationship. They will go through denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and finally acceptance as they realize that perhaps they are not the best fit for each other.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused upheaval and renewal in everyone's lives in unexpected ways. Whether that comes in the form of health, social, societal, or otherwise, the pandemic has shown people who they are for better or worse. No one has gotten out of this period without being affected in significant ways, and Safer at Home? Explores one couple and the profound journey the crisis has caused for them.
