Safe Spaces
Safe Spaces explores the dual issues of mental health in the black community, and the lack of access that communities of color have to culturally competent therapists.
Ednesha C. Saulsbury, LCSW, is a black clinical social work/therapist in NYC working to eliminate the cultural stigma that black people have about seeking mental health services and creating a safe space for her clients.
In the ongoing struggle to serve communities that have traditionally been shut out, more access, more therapists of color, and advocacy efforts are needed to combat the mental crisis that Black America is experiencing.
