Director Biography - Arby Laraño, Christine Chu - Laraño

Arby Laraño is a director and cinematographer. Laraño also has years of experience as a video editor, editing supervisor, segment producer, cinematographer, and director for TV5’s News Department, Net25, TAPE Inc. Eat Bulaga and ABS-CBN.

He has also won recognition for several short films and was granted a screenwriting and film production scholarship to the University of Southern California Cinematic Arts. He is also a co-founder, co-owner, and artistic director of Square Peg Films Co.

As of the moment, he is busy running Arby and Tin Film Productions, shooting for Studio 125 and volunteering for Christian Family Organizations.

Christine Chu - Laraño was a segment producer and writer for several shows at ABS-CBN’s News and Current Affairs Department with several years’ of experience. She is also one of the producers for the Malaysian government-funded rice documentary, “Tinawon”.

Christine’s background in news gives her an edge in resource and data-gathering, interviewing, cinematography, and storytelling. She is also a freelance photographer and a video editor. As of the moment, she is also busy running Arby and Tin Film Productions, shooting for Studio 125 and volunteering for Christian Family Organizations.
