The SVN Visual Media Awards™ is SVN Student Filmmaking eMagazine's celebration of the independent student filmmaker. At its conclusion, we honor winning films with front page stories, in-depth reviews, cast/crew interviews, sponsor-donated prizes and of course, trophies.

Enter all lengths of movies and screenplays (shorts or features), all forms Documentary, Music Video, Animation and Experimental), all genres (comedy, horror, action, drama, family, romance).

- An Award for one of the following: 1) SVN VMA™ Best Film Award; 2) SVN VMA™ Outstanding Achievement in Filmmaking Award (First Place -- one for features; one for shorts, Documentary, Music Video, Animation and Experimental); Achievement Awards in Acting, Cinematography, Screenwriting and other categories as appropriate for finalists.

- A feature article written about the film, its cast and its crew including a link to the film's Vimeo or YouTube trailer (if available)

- Interviews with key cast and crew to be included in the feature article or as separate articles (at the discretion of SVN Film)

- Where possible, a critique of the submission by an industry expert or peer judge.

- Inclusion in our SVN VMA™ YouTube Award Announcement

- Promotional links in your feature article connecting our readers to information about your movie (screenings, social media, where to buy, etc.)

- The submitter must be directly involved (producer, director, screenwriter) with the project or legally authorized to represent the project submitted;

- The filmmaker must be under 21 years of age at the time the work was completed;

- All commercial/private property including all trademark, copyrighted materials shown or recorded on the project is the responsibility of the filmmaker. SVN Student Filmmaking will NOT take responsibility for any infringement of copy-written materials;

- If your film is accepted, you must be able to provide a film still (production still) that is a minimum 300dpi and high quality. A film still should be from the film itself and draw viewers in and make your film look appealing;

- All submissions must be submitted via FilmFreeway. We DO NOT accept physical submissions (DVD, Blu-Ray, printed scripts etc);

- Award categories are decided at the discretion of SVN Student Filmmaking and may be subject to change;

- All reviews and decisions are final;

- We do not accept pornographic material;

- We do watch your movie/screenplay in its entirety;

- We do not do any type of public exhibition or display of your movie other than a trailer or approved promotional clips, so your movie will still qualify as a premiere in any festival to which you choose to submit.
