Director Statement

"SUPPER TIME." The idea started with the question - how the younger generation would react if they come to know that their parents are queer. In country like India where traditional values are highly respected, conservativeness also develop on other side. It would have been really difficult and indeed a riddle for people living in 1980s and 90s to have an idea about queer community or even had an awareness about lgbt and the sexuality spectrum. It would have been a time where I believe a gay man would have felt him a transgender while getting attracted to the same sex. A time where no one could have disclosed their identity nor could even identify themselves, it would have been the most toughest time for queer people. This film is about the pain of a gay man getting married for society suppressing his identity and how he realizes his guilt.

The film has the potential to be a gripping and thought-provoking idea that will captivate audiences and leave them thinking long after the credits roll.

I believe that simplicity is key to delivering a powerful story. We don't need convoluted plot twists or excessive special effects to create a compelling story. Instead, we can focus on strong character development, a taut and suspenseful narrative, and a clear visual style to bring this story to life.

Overall, I believe that "SUPPER TIME" has the potential to be a unforgettable cinematic experience. I am excited about the possibility of bringing this story to life.
