Director Statement

Torture (Suplicio) arose in the most unexpected way, in September 2021 we were giving a completely free acting workshop for five weeks, in El Progreso, a city near to San pedro Sula, Honduras. In which 13 people participated, including children, youngsters and adults.

In every exercise the development of each one of them was incredible, went from ascent to ascent, so my mind began to explode with inspiration and creativity. A week before the workshop ended... we told the participants that we wanted to make a short film with them, they reacted very excitedly and we got down to work. We started filming on December 18, 2021 (only on weekends) and finished on February 26, 2022.

I want to thank everyone who helped us to make this come true, without any of you this wasn't be possible... Honduran National Police, thank you so much for you support, i am so thankful with Miguel Martinez Madrid for providing me all the necessary logistics for the police scenes.

My team and i are very excited to show the results of this amazing short film with a extraordinary cast & crew, it is definitely a fresh and different short film proposal, we want to continue telling this type of stories and other genres! In advance thanks for the love and support, and please, please, please ENJOY IT.
