OLOH ME BABU (Study Well Son)

'Oloh me babu' (Study Well, Son) is the story of a boy who is always scolded by his mother to study to become a well educated and respectable person while pampered and spoiled by his father; the protagonist. Time flies by when one day his father was subjected to fraud by a fraudster who has done the same to many people. The reason of why he could do such things with so many people and the protagonist is 'Uneducation'. The fraudster took the protagonists' thumb impressions and fooled him to withdraw all the amount sanctioned by the government, as a result his monthly ration and other facilities were stopped. He couldn't think of anything else but to end his life as a repercussion. He tries to give a little happiness to his wife and child by buying them whatever they had wished for and remorses for his negligence and ignorance. On the fateful night he took promise from his wife and son that he will be well educated and become a notable person; stressing on the fact that one needs to be educated so that others can't take advantage of you and make one's life miserable because you are naive and lacking. The main motto of the story is to emphasize that you need to study and be well educated for not being trampled upon and atrocized upon, so that's why you need to study hard.

Director Statement

In today's society, it's quite challenging to thrive without an education. Nonetheless, I have observed numerous individuals leaving school and drifting through life without purpose. These individuals often become susceptible to addictions and engage in anti-social behaviors, making them easy targets for scammers who exploit them, resulting in distressing situations that can lead to suicide, incarceration, and other severe consequences. Moreover, their families and loved ones endure significant difficulties and emotional pain. The primary intention behind creating 'Oloh Me Babu' is to promote awareness in our community, highlighting the importance of 'education.'
