Alison Glennie is an actor and cross-disciplinary artist working in film, photography, spoken word and performance art. A longtime resident of West Cork, Ireland she began her career as a child actor in British film and television. Since relocating from London to Cork, she has voiced many shows for RTE radio.
She enjoys the anonymity conferred by guerrilla style iPhone photography and continues to explore the potential of iOS devices in her film making, finding them to be an invaluable tool in producing no budget shorts.
Alison's short films have been screened at Absurdah (UK), Amarcord arthouse (Chicago), Audioshoot (Irl), Beara (Irl), Fastnet (Irl), Hebden Bridge (UK), Indie Cork (Irl) REELpoetry/HoustonTX, Stiff (Seattle) Vesuvius International Film Fest (Italy). 'Steps' was first published in Atticus Review.
As a solitary artist living in rural Ireland during these strange times, Alison felt compelled to document the Covid War in some small way.
