Private Project

Season 2 begins in the sleepy southern town of Pensacola, Florida in 2002, as a DIY film crew follows the rise and rule of Staremaster Dave. Their movie premieres to an enthusiastic audience in the Lower East Side of New York City in 2004 and through a series of contests in the city another undefeated regional champion, William Lemon III, is recognized as a Staremaster. As the project evolves into a performance art spectacle, volumes of press are generated about the contest as the “avant-garde of competitive sports” and when Playboy magazine refers to Will Lemon as “THE” Staremaster… our rivalry begins. From a crusty Florida dive bar to the center stage of an infamous International Art exhibition in New York City, our champions come to the table to go head-to-head and face-to-face in eye-to-eye combat to find out once and for all… ladies and gentlemen, this is Episode 1: Judgement Day at JFK.
