SPIEL

A child transforms a desolate vacant lot into her playground, not for idle play, but for a contest with herself—serious, urgent, and mystical. Her actions bring her to uncanny intersections with a musician, whose ferocious efforts on the glockenspiel are strangely entangled with her own games. (The score is a movement from the double-Grammy-nominated album Seven Pillars (2021, Best Contemporary Classical Recording, Best Chamber Music Performance) by renowned composer Andy Akiho and Sandbox Percussion, performed by Terry Sweeney of Sandbox Percussion.
