NORMAS GENERALES
1. Solo podrán participar en el festival obras rodadas y producidas en los países del ámbito mediterráneo o países vinculados a las culturas mediterráneas:
a) Se entienden por países del ámbito mediterráneo todos los pertenecientes al litoral del mar Mediterráneo en sentido amplio, considerando Mauritania su extremo meridional–occidental.
b) Podrán presentarse también propuestas de territorios adyacentes a los mencionados que por razones históricas, culturales o lingüísticas puedan asociarse al ámbito Mediterráneo tales como los territorios con lenguas románicas, los países balcánicos y los territorios del Kurdistán.
c) Como caso especial, las obras producidas en los territorios del Kurdistán deberán estar habladas al menos en un 50% en lengua kurda.
2. Años de producción: Las producciones deberán haber sido realizadas en 2024, 2023 y 2022.
3. Idiomas: Las obras enviadas deberán estar subtituladas en castellano o catalán y estar inscritas en las plataformas FilmFreeway o Festhome.
4. Se abre la convocatoria para las siguientes secciones:

La organización de SocialMed determinará los comités de selección y los jurados de cada sección. El jurado se dará a conocer una vez realizada la selección.
5. Fecha límite de inscripción: 31 de marzo de 2024.

6. Las plataformas de envío de obras serán FilmFreeway o Festhome.
7. MED VLC Sección Oficial de Cortometrajes Valencianos y Cortometrajes Valencianos de Estudiantes:
a) Podrán participar cortometrajes producidos en la Comunitat Valenciana al menos en un 30%.
b) En el caso de cortometrajes de estudiantes universitarios tendrán que indicar el centro educativo al que pertenecen.
c) La duración máxima será de 30 minutos.
d) Se deberá enviar una copia en alta resolución así como un dossier de la obra, una biofilmografía del/la director/a y tres fotografías de la obra en alta resolución.
e) El premio a Mejor Cortometraje que el jurado determine tendrá como premio la cantidad de 500€. El premio al Mejor Cortometraje Valenciano de Estudiantes recibirá una mención y un trofeo.
f) Se podrán establecer una serie de menciones honoríficas.
g) Durante el festival, los cortos podrán tener la opción de proyectarse en el canal de YouTube del festival y en las subsedes del mismo.
h) Si así lo desean y si cumplen los requisitos, las productoras podrán inscribir simultáneamente sus obras en la sección internacional y en la de cortometrajes valencianos pero, en caso de ser seleccionado, solo se proyectará en una de las secciones.
i) Coste de inscripción: 3€. Estudiantes: Podrán solicitar inscripción gratuita en el mail valenciasocialrebel@gmail.com
8. MED FUTURS:
a) Habrán dos categorías según duración, menos de 4 minutos o más de 4 minutos.
b) Solo podrán participar cortos realizados en centros educativos.
c) El premio se establecerá por votación popular en el canal de YouTube del festival y será de
300 en el caso de cortos de más de 4 min, y de 200 € en los de menos de 4 minutos.
d) Durante el festival, los cortos podrán verse en el canal de YouTube del festival.
e) La inscripción es gratuita y se hará enviando una copia del corto al mail valenciasocialrebel@gmail.com con la indicación del título y el autor/a del mismo.
f) El premio se elegirá mediante una votación online durante las fechas del festival y se entregará en la ceremonia de clausura de SOCIALMED.
9. Jurado / Comité de selección:
a) La organización del SOCIALMED determinará los comités de selección de cada una de las secciones y los jurados de las mismas.
b) Las decisiones, tanto del Comité de Selección como de los Jurados, serán inapelables.
10. Obras admitidas:
a) La persona física o jurídica que realice la inscripción declara que posee todos los derechos de propiedad intelectual de la obra exhibida en el festival y del material audiovisual incluido en ella (banda sonora, imágenes ajenas. etc). El festival no se hará responsable si esta norma es incumplida.
b) Las películas escogidas no podrán ser retiradas por sus productores.
c) Los productores/ distribuidores deberán enviar via online una copia junto con un dossier de la obra, tres imágenes de la película y una biofilmografía del director con foto. Enviar subtítulos en inglés, castellano o catalán en un archivo aparte en formato .srt.
11. Derechos de Exhibición:
a) El festival no se hará responsable de posibles reclamaciones que surjan por incumplimiento de los derechos de autor por parte de la obra.
b) El festival podrá tomar una muestra de las obras presentadas para utilizar en cualquier medio únicamente con la finalidad de su promoción en el marco del SOCIALMED (programa impreso, prensa, Internet, redes sociales, tráiler, etc.)
12. Aceptación de las bases:
La participación en el Festival supone la aceptación de estas bases.

GENERAL RULES
1. Only films shot and produced in Mediterranean countries or countries linked to Mediterranean cultures may participate in the festival:
a) Countries of the Mediterranean area are understood to be all those belonging to the coastline of the Mediterranean Sea in a broad sense, considering Mauritania its southern-western end.
b) Proposals may also be submitted from territories adjacent to those mentioned above which for historical, cultural or linguistic reasons can be associated with the Mediterranean area, such as territories with Romance languages, the Balkan countries and the territories of Kurdistan.
c) As a special case, works produced in the territories of Kurdistan must be at least 50% spoken in the Kurdish language.
2. Years of production: Productions must have been made in 2024, 2023 and 2022.
3. Languages: The works submitted must be subtitled in Spanish or Catalan and be registered on the FilmFreeway or Festhome platforms.

The organisation of SocialMed will determine the selection committees and juries for each section. The jury will be announced once the selection has been made.

6. The submission platforms will be FilmFreeway or Festhome.
7. MED VLC Official Section of Valencian Short Films and Valencian Student Short Films:
a) At least 30% of the short films produced in the Comunitat Valenciana may participate.
b) In the case of short films made by university students, they must indicate the educational centre to which they belong.
c) The maximum duration will be 30 minutes.
d) A high resolution copy must be sent, as well as a dossier of the work, a biofilmography of the director and three high resolution photographs of the work.
e) The prize for the Best Short Film determined by the jury will be 500€. The prize for the Best Valencian Student Short Film will receive a mention and a trophy.
f) A number of honourable mentions may be established.
g) During the festival, the short films may have the option of being screened on the festival's YouTube channel and at the festival's sub-sites.
h) If they so wish and if they meet the requirements, production companies may enter their works simultaneously in the international section and in the Valencian short film section but, if selected, they will only be screened in one of the sections.
i) Registration fee: 3€. Students: May apply for free registration by emailing valenciasocialrebel@gmail.com
8. MED FUTURS:
a) There will be two categories according to length, less than 4 minutes or more than 4 minutes.
b) Only short films made in educational centres may participate.
c) The prize will be established by popular vote on the YouTube channel of the festival and will be of
300 in the case of short films of more than 4 minutes, and 200 € in the case of short films of less than 4 minutes.
d) During the festival, the short films will be available for viewing on the festival's YouTube channel.
e) Registration is free of charge and must be done by sending a copy of the short film to valenciasocialrebel@gmail.com with the title and author of the film.
f) The prize will be chosen by online voting during the festival and will be awarded at the closing ceremony of SOCIALMED.
9. Jury / Selection Committee:
a) The SOCIALMED organisation will determine the selection committees for each of the sections and the juries of the sections.
b) The decisions of both the Selection Committee and the Juries shall be final.
10. Admitted works:
a) The natural or legal person making the entry declares that he/she owns all the intellectual property rights of the work exhibited at the festival and of the audiovisual material included in it (soundtrack, images of others. etc). The festival will not be held responsible if this rule is not complied with.
b) Selected films cannot be withdrawn by their producers.
c) The producers/distributors must send via online a copy together with a dossier of the work, three images of the film and a biofilmography of the director with photo. Send subtitles in English, Spanish or Catalan in a separate file in .srt format.
11. Exhibition Rights:
a) The festival will not be held responsible for possible claims arising from breach of copyright by the work.
b) The festival may take a sample of the works submitted for use in any media solely for the purpose of their promotion within the framework of SOCIALMED (printed programme, press, Internet, social networks, trailer, etc.).
12. Acceptance of the rules:
Participation in the Festival implies acceptance of these rules.
