I think that we are now able to hear the stories of the pandemic in an artistic and creative way.
While Lin Manuel specializes in Hip-Hop, I specialize in R&B. SOCIAL DISTANCE is a Musical that documents what was happening in New York between a group of four friends during that historic pandemic time. It’s history and in order to preserve new history, I am passionate about using a new musical style of Urban R&B. I also want to blend the cultures on stage which would encourage the audiences that attend to show to also blend culturally as this show is about how family is created in New York when blood relatives are not present.
In my creative path thus far, I believe that Artistic Creativity develops cultural diversity so if there is any time to diversify the theater and have various types of shows that have a home on the stage we need to fully develop these products. When people want to know what was going on the last week of March in New York as over 600 people were dying everyday it’s my hope that they will want to visit the musical story of
SOCIAL DISTANCE.
