Writer Statement

As a black filmmaker born in the 90's and growing up in the early 2000's my goal is telling narrative stories that realistically portray the black experience in America. My work is driven by the need to challenge the status quo and sheds light on ways that we can all co-exist better on this planet. My writing makes powerful statements on these issues from sociopolitical perspective. I often delve into the impact these circumstances have on people of color and the consequences such as violence and mental health issues.
