SKIBEACH
Climate change is causing disruption to winter tourism in the mountains, with ski slopes forced to close in some cases. In 2024, the world's largest indoor ski resort opened in Shanghai, while the city was experiencing one of the hottest summers in sixty years. In the same summer, a popular seaside resort on the Adriatic Sea staged an event with Alpine features, which stimulated reflections on the meaning of places and landscapes of mass tourism, both current and future. Filmed with smartphones by students of "Landscape videomaking", Landscape Sciences course, University of Padua.
