SITA

“Sita” is a British psychological drama, loosely inspired by some ideas from the famous Indian epic poem, "The Ramayana".

When Sita disappeared two years ago, with no explanation, Navin’s world turned upside down. Even though the question of his wife’s absence continues to haunt Navin, he is still trying to keep his family together. But after enduring so long, the cracks are starting to appear through problems at work, issues with home and an ongoing dependency with alcohol. On the anniversary of Sita’s disappearance, Navin discovers a clue which may offer hope, but might also question his wife’s fidelity. This leads him onto a dangerous path of confronting some of Sita’s past secrets in both life and work. But what is myth, obsession and reality, and will following this clue to its end provide answers to Sita’s whereabouts, or will Navin end up risking the lives of both himself and his two young children as a consequence?
