Experiencing Interruptions?

SINCERELY, JUSTINE

They say sticks and stones can break your bones but words can never harm you.

This statement was not true for Justine. Haunted by childhood trauma she struggles to see what is truly in front of her.

Director Biography - Dionne Wilson

Dionne Wilson is Thirty-fine, a lover of all things DIY who grew up on an island dreaming up stories to tell the world. In her current Pandemic land, she's living the snowbird life in a cold but pretty little town where she creates content for social media via her skills in Marketing and Communications. When she's not dreaming up stories to bring to life, you can find her strolling through vintage shops or getting scraps of almost anything to make some accidental awesome DIY projects. She enjoys art and recently started painting custom art for clients.

Director Statement

As an abstract artist, I am determined to develop stories that are both visually appealing and emotionally charged for viewers and readers alike. My aim is not to form the concept for the reader but to take them on a journey to allow them to form their own conclusions. Letting the work speak for itself. I find beauty in the unintended messages that people arrive at by simply reading or watching the work I've created.

I try to bring a different perspective about social issues presented metaphorically. From abuse of authority explained in a family setting to telling a grandiose story of fame and fortune to express the simplicity of love. The challenge is to be true to the social issue and how it's being presented without losing sight of being true to self balancing it all with intrigue and entertainment.
