SHOOTERS ROLL

American F-16 Vipers versus Iranian F-14 Tomcats

A fresh-from-training fighter pilot, the daughter of a major general, must conceal her romance with an enlisted man before being thrust into the fight of her life against Iran’s greatest fighter pilot.

The U.S. Navy had Topgun and Topgun: Maverick.
The U.S. Army had Saving Private Ryan and We Were Soldiers.
The U.S. Marine Corps had Full Metal Jacket and Heartbreak Ridge.
The U.S. Air Force had … Iron Eagle?

It’s time for the U.S. Air Force to have a picture it can call its own. SHOOTERS ROLL is that picture. Set during the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003, it accurately depicts life on the flight line as well as modern aerial warfare.

Victoria is a new F-16 fighter pilot who makes a serious error during training. It leads to her being awarded her hated call sign, “Shirley.” She also must live down the incorrect perception that her father, a major general, got her the coveted fighter pilot slot. What makes matters worse is that she falls for an enlisted man, Chris.

Chris is an aircraft maintainer on the F-16 Fighting Falcon, also called a Viper. He and Victoria share a secret romance that, if discovered, will end her career as a fighter pilot.

Meanwhile, Iran secretly gears up their F-14 Persian Tomcats to attack American forces in Iraq.

When Iran’s plan is exposed, things come to a head, thrusting Victoria, Chris, and the 55th Fighter Squadron “Shooters” into action.

In addition to the often-used pilot’s viewpoint, this four-quadrant story also focuses on the aircraft maintainer.

After all, without them, jets would never leave the ground: Fighter pilots need heroes, too.
