SHOCK

Shock is the story of a girl AKWEN who is married to an Ambitious politician Ebia who dreams of becoming a minister and in his quest to climb the political ladder, Ebia is conditioned by a spiritualist introduced to him by his friend Ebot who convinces him he needs spiritual fortification, to sleep with his wife’s ( Akwen) younger brother Tim who lives with them . AKWEN will not support this .But what can she do?.Her marriage to Ebia is what has given her worth and respect in the society being a child of a single prostitute mother who has 5 children with five deferent men. AKWEN has always been seen as a loose child by the society evident from Ma Mbidam her boss from whom she learned to be a seamstress . she decided not to follow in her mother’s foot steps as her younger ones were . Then Ebia came and gave her hope. The twist in her life with Ebia is that she will have to be silent and painfully watch her husband destroy her younger brother until he will develop Annal cancer and subsequently commit suicide. AKWEN, feeling guilty gradually falls into depression and her siblings eventually find out the baffling story and confront her. She then finds courage to speak out and expose her husband which in turn leads to his Arrest on the day of his parliamentary election after the news of what he did goes viral and his party dismisses him from his own party.
