I’m a independent filmmaker and director whose journey began in the world of theatre and stagecraft. With a solid foundation in performance and direction, I transitioned from the stage to filmmaking, driven by a passion for storytelling. While my education stems from hands-on experience rather than formal certifications, My creative approach is deeply rooted in experimentation and exploring new ways to tell compelling stories. Inspired by the transformative power of visual narrative, they constantly push boundaries to create films that reflect their personal, unorthodox style. I’m continuously growing and evolving as a director, always committed to crafting unique, impactful cinematic experiences.
In a world increasingly dominated by technology, my short film explores the unsettling reality of individuals trapped in the loop of social media, particularly Instagram Reels. Through this piece, I wanted to highlight the quiet but profound impact of endless scrolling on our lives — how it steals time, fosters envy, and deepens feelings of loneliness.
As a filmmaker, I was inspired by the disconnection I’ve often felt while observing others caught in the digital world. The film is a reflection of that growing sense of detachment, where we become unaware of our surroundings and the passage of time. I chose to let the visuals speak for themselves, without dialogues, allowing the audience to feel the weight of the moment in each frame. The text graphics and subtle moments of introspection are there to prompt a conversation about the dangers of excessive screen time and the importance of re-engaging with the world beyond our phones.
My approach to filmmaking is experimental, influenced by my background in theatre and stagecraft. I wanted this film to be a journey of emotional exploration, one that immerses the viewer in the quiet chaos of being digitally consumed. It’s an invitation to step back, observe, and question the role technology plays in our lives.
This project is deeply personal, a reflection of my own observations and feelings about the modern, hyper-connected world. It’s my hope that the film serves as a moment of reflection for anyone who watches it, encouraging us all to reclaim time and connection in a world that often feels disconnected.
