Short Film Night (SFN) is an exciting annual event that celebrates the art and craft of animation. It will be carried out in the picturesque town of Loutraki, Corinth, Greece in July 2024. SFN showcases a diverse range of animated films from around the world, including stop-motion, 2D, 3D, and experimental animations.

One of the main reasons why you won't want to miss SFN is the opportunity to see some truly amazing animated films that you might not have had the chance to see otherwise. The festival features a wide variety of films, from short student projects to professional films, and it is certain that you will find something that appeals to everyone's tastes.

Short Film Night is organized under the umbrella of FestivArt (www.festivart.gr). In addition to the films themselves, visitors will be able to attend a series of events and activities such as workshops, masterclasses, exhibitions and concerts, organized by festivart for an immersive and unforgettable experience.

Overall, SFN is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who loves animation and wants to immerse themselves in a vibrant and supportive community of fellow enthusiasts. With its stunning location, exciting programming, and welcoming atmosphere, it's definitely an event that you won't want to miss.

All the animation films will compete for the SFN’s awards. The prize is a honorary plaque that will be awarded to the three winning films according to the audience’ s voting. There is no money award.

1. Applications for participation at SFN should be submitted between Monday 1st of April until Saturday, 1st of June 2024
2. Only one film per director is accepted. There are no participation fees
3. The Short Film duration must not exceed 10 minutes maximum and their production must have taken place during the1st January 2023. In addition to that short films should not have been free streamed on the internet until 17th of June 2023.
4. Foreign language films should be subtitled in greek.
5.Forms of submission :
a) send us files HD (1080/720) (MOV, AVI, MP4, MPG, WMV, FLV etc) via wetransfer at info@sfn.gr. The files must be max 2 GB.
b) With password protected link in FTP server, Dropbox, Vimeo etc at info@sfn.gr. All files must be in HD quality

Along with the short film, you need to send :
α) Name, contact information (phone number, cellphone number, email)
b) short outline of the plot (up to 100 words)
c) film credits
d) movie poster with dimensions 600 x 850px (w x h) 72p resolution

Additionally, you can optionally include:
movie poster 300dpi
a photografh of the film
Trailer & Website of the film
6. Once the short film is submitted, the director or producer can no longer withdraw it due to any reason at all.
7. The Committee of SFN will select the films (www.sfn.gr)

8. The SFN coordinators cannot be held accountable for any loss of material. Under no circumstance they are obliged to return any sent material.
9. The coordinators reserve the right to project, inside and outside the place of event, small part oft the films that have been sent, whenever they think it’s necessary for the promotion of festivArt and not for commercial purposes.
