The 20 year old San Francisco Independent Film Festival has launched a program of all short films!

Short shorts, long shorts, cool shorts, weird shorts, music shorts, documentary shorts, experimental shorts, genre shorts, student shorts.

Not only do we love shorts programs, but our long standing loyal audience in San Francisco REALLY loves shorts. The shorts programs at SF IndieFest, SF DocFest and Another Hole in the Head are consistently some of our best attended programs so we want to do a whole festival of them!

What a great experience! My film, The Wait, was played during the Transitions group at The Alamo Draft House, which was a perfect venue. Jeff did an amazing job arranging the order of the films into an expert playlist that flowed nicely. Jeff Ross was awesome to work with! A friendly acceptance email followed up by clear instruction on what was needed from me and how to navigate the festival. His responses were super quick when I had questions and he confirmed receipt of materials. This festival was very well run and full of a bunch of amazing films! Thanks, Jeff!

I had so much fun with my short film appearing at this festival. Jeff Ross was passionate about LUCY IN THE SKY, and answered all my (many!) questions in advance of my trip to San Francisco.

The shorts were programmed beautifully and arranged by theme. My short was in a group called The Kids Are Alright, and the films were all linked with young protagonists.

Another great perk: The Alamo Drafthouse in San Fran is a great venue with great screens and sound and a fun bar and vibe!

Terrific fun. Thanks to festival director Jeff Ross and all his team for the great venue – Alamo Drafthouse New Mission was spectacular – and terrific company – a wonderfully talented and diverse gathering of filmmakers. We were honored to be featured among such powerful and beautifully-made films.

We were honored to have our film CURTAINS selected for the inaugural SF Indie Shorts, the all-shorts fest launched by the 20-years-running San Francisco Independent Film Festival. Fest director Jeff Ross was super responsive and helplful in his communications with filmmakers, the Alamo is a great screening venue, and the films programmed were strong. Happy to have been a part of this festival.

The festival director, Jeff, was great and put a lot of effort into bringing the festival to life. They also screened the films at an amazing venue, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, and put on an excellent program. Highly recommend!
