* Selected as one of the top 50 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee in 2017 by Moviemaker Magazine *

As one of the longest-running film, music and arts festivals in the country, the Southeast New England Film, Music & Arts Festival has established itself as one of the premier festivals in New England dedicated to giving life to independent cinema, music and art.

SENE is a very filmmaker-friendly festival with multiple parties and networking opportunities. All films, parties, brunches, events, panels and awards ceremonies are free to attending filmmakers and screenwriters.

Film Selection:
95% of selected films come from official submissions.
25% of submitted films were selected for screening last year.
Festival programmers (Phil Capobres & Don Farias) personally review every film submission.
Last year 50 films received jury or audience awards.

Film Scheduling:
Screening times are scheduled with an emphasis on avoiding conflicting programs which means a stronger audience for your film. No more than 2 film programs are scheduled to screen at the same time.
SENE accepts all film genres and categories and creates screenings to showcase them.

Festival Benefits:
All films will be introduced by a Festival Director.
Dedicated Q&A time for visiting filmmakers at their screening.
Providence airport/train station pickup and local transportation to our venues is provided to visiting filmmakers (as available).
Ample opportunities to network with filmmakers, artists and musicians
Films not selected will still receive a free 2018 SENE Festival Weekend Film Access Pass (good for all films on Fri & Sat)

Additional Screening Opportunities:
Films are eligible for multiple screenings as part of our traveling Limelight Series programming. Comedy shorts are also considered for the Boston Comedy Festival.

I can't say enough great things about this festival, everyone involved was incredibly nice and helpful. Don, Phil and their staff did an amazing job running the event. The screenings as well as the events held to meet the different filmmakers were a lot of fun as we got to know a lot of the folks in attendance that weekend. Anyone interested in having their work considered by a group of people who truly enjoy film, I highly recommend SENE for your movie.

As long as I have the ability to make films, I will submit to SENE. They are part of my film family. Run don't walk to submit!!

I was there as a participant on the opening night this past Tuesday; it was the second time a film I had worked on had been selected.

Both of my experiences with this festival have been positive in all respects. You can readily see the passion the festival co-directors, Don and Phil, have and that passion has been successfully channeled into a festival that has an interesting array of quality offerings.

    Definitely two thumbs up!
