The San Diego Independent Filmmakers Festival is a festival where California and Regional as well as International Independent Filmmakers come together to compete for the San Diego Independent Filmmaker of the Year Award for THE SAN DIEGO INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER OF THE YEAR.

Note:
All nominated films will be screened via our Roku Partner Channel San Diego Indie Channel. Only winning shorts and features will be screened at the in person festival (dates to be announced) as well as the Awards Ceremony. Filmmakers will receive 100 percent profit from our Roku Festival Channel Platform.

ALL SELECTED FILMS may display SELECTED laurels but not all SELECTED Films are considered NOMINEES nor WINNING FILMS. Several films will be shown through our online screening partners. Only Finalists Films , both short and feature, will be showcased at the Screening Event. The following awards will be presented:

Rules & Terms

1. Accepting submissions nationwide and internationally.
2. Films made before January 1,2015 are not eligible for submission.
3. If nominated, you must be present at film screening and awards show in order to be eligible for awards. None attendance would result to getting awards revoked.
4. FILMS SELECTED TO BE SHOWCASED AT THE FESTIVAL SCREENING WILL RECEIVE A DOWNLOAD REQUEST. THANK YOU.
5. If selected we will ask that you send us promotional materials I.E posters etc.
6. SUBTITLES ARE REQUIRED FOR FILM SUBMISSIONS IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE. IF YOUR FILMS ARE IN A LANGUAGE OTHER THAN ENGLISH, SUBTITLES ARE REQUIRED. FILMS WITH NO SUBTITLE ARE AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED.
