SA Motorcycle Film Festival – General Rules & Terms & Conditions
1. Eligibility:
Open to filmmakers worldwide, both amateur and professional.
Films must prominently feature motorcycles or motorcycling culture.
Submissions can be narrative, documentary, experimental, or animation.
No prior screening restrictions, but preference is given to premieres.
2. Film Requirements:
Films must be not longer than 3 minutes in length.
Must be in English or have English subtitles.
High-quality video format (MP4, MOV, or AVI) with a minimum resolution of 1080p.
Must include the SA Motorcycle Film Festival logo in the first 3 seconds. Must include Charity Acknowledgment – A short message like:
“Proudly supporting Pediatric Care Africa. Your support makes a difference.”

Must include credits listing all contributors.
Films must not contain unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or hate speech content.
3. Music & Copyrights:
Entrants must have the legal right to use all music, footage, and imagery in their films.
No copyrighted music is allowed unless the entrant has explicit permission.
Free-to-use music may be sourced from platforms like YouTube Audio Library or other royalty-free providers.
4. Submission & Deadlines:
Films must be submitted via FilmFreeway by the announced deadline.
A non-refundable submission fee may apply.
Late submissions may not be accepted unless otherwise stated.
5. Selection & Judging:
Films will be reviewed by a panel of judges which are professionals from the motorcycle, film, and media industries.
Selection criteria include storytelling, creativity, technical execution, and alignment with motorcycling themes.
The judges decision is final and cannot be contested.
6. Screening & Rights:
By submitting, entrants grant SA Motorcycle Film Festival the right to screen their film at the festival.
Selected films may be used for promotional purposes (including social media, website, and festival trailers).
Filmmakers retain all ownership rights to their work.
7. Prizes & Awards:
Winning films will be awarded in various categories, including Best Motorcycle Short Film
Best Documentary
People’s Choice Award
Prizes may include sponsor-donated gear, cash prizes, and industry recognition.
Winners agree to allow their films to be used in future promotional material.
8. Disqualification & Liability:
The festival reserves the right to disqualify any film that does not comply with the rules.
The festival is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to submitted materials.
Entrants agree that the festival is not liable for any claims related to copyright infringement or unauthorized content usage.
9. Agreement to Terms:
Submission of a film indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions.
The festival reserves the right to update rules at any time without prior notice.
