She fell in love with filmmaking while working as a PA on a film set, which was the spark that ignited the engine and pushed her into following a film postgraduate degree. Since early days Alicia pursued a directing position and become the only female Director for commercials in her home country of Bolivia.
After winning a production grant, she directed her first world class Short film, with her sensitivity and a keen eye for cinematography and storytelling, her future projects are very promising.
By the use of sequential shots or sudden cuts between shots I take the spectator on a journey where they can relate with the stability/instability of the main character Samuel and the stimulus he receives from the environment, music and his emotions.
We get very close to his relationship with objects, and his senses such as touch and hearing as narrative elements to evoke emotion and go through the story.
