SAME. SAME

Trailer Park Boys Meets Thelma & Louise

A dysfunctional sibling comedy series about destitute, maladroit twin sisters on a fast train to nowhere.

The story is centred on the universal human truth that we are all the same on the inside, a pertinent message during this time of great uncertainty and division. Told through the lens of two middle-aged miscreants with little to no redeeming qualities.

It’s a five-part micro-series of unfiltered, unabashed buffoonery with comical parallels to Covid lockdowns without it being a Covid story. It’s about family, friendship and learning to work together above all esle.

SAME. SAME was the result of idle time during Covid lockdown and the need to reinvent the way we created and made films under such tight restrictions.

The story is centred on the universal human truth that we are all the same on the inside, a pertinent message during a time of great uncertainty and division. Although I chose two middle-aged miscreants with little to no redeeming qualities to deliver that message.

It’s a five-part web series of unfiltered, unabashed buffoonery with comical parallels to Covid lockdowns without it being a Covid story. It’s about family, friendship, placing differences aside and learning to work together above all.

SAME. SAME was developed and written remotely across Australia, South Africa and America. It was filmed with a cast and crew of six in total and all post-production thus far has been carried out from home edit suites during isolation.
