Ryan was born in LA and spent the next 23 years traveling around with his family and living in such places as Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, NY, and Utah. He took up music at an early age and joined bands in many places he lived drawing inspiration from the unique cultures and people in different areas.
After attending a Styx concert in high school, he immediately started his own band with a classic rock sound. Since then he’s gained experience playing with many local bands in places such as the Covey Center, Park City TV and the BYU Ballroom and has developed a recognizable guitar style.
Currently working at Rock Canyon Studios in Provo, Ryan has become a driving force in a host of projects from a venue that broadcasts to over 200 million homes worldwide and attracts the best local talent. Now, studying venue management at BYU, he hopes to combine his musical talent with good business skills to create a successful career as a guitarist.
I play music to make life good. The influence music has on us is incredible which is why I believe God is deeply invested in the music industry. As a songwriter and guitarist my goal is to make the world better even if just in a small way. This goal keeps me driven to play better, write better and become better.
