Ruthless Walker

Logline: Both lover and betrayer, when he is faced with this choice, will he destroy or let her go?

Ruthless Protégé is a short drama film about two drug-dealing couples. Jack and Lisa were very much in love with plans to get married once they had completed their last drug deals. During one of the deals, the police show up, taking the two by surprise and forcing them to flee. During the escape, Jack realises that there is little hope for both of them to get out alive, and decides to sacrifice himself to distract the police. He deliberately provokes Lisa and tries to draw her off in another direction. Lisa does not understand Jack’s intentions and believes Jack is trying to abandon her and run away alone. In the midst of a violent argument between the couple, Lisa shoots Jack in order to escape. After Lisa flees the scene, she suddenly remembers that she has forgotten to take Jack's phone, containing important information including all their photos and messages. To recover the device, Lisa returns to the murder scene, greeted by Jack. The man who she believed to be dead is barely clinging on to life as the police surround the crime scene. What will Jack do in the face of Lisa's betrayal?
